Location

The summer school will take place in the holiday village Les Bruyères in Carcans-Maubuisson, which is located about 1 hour by car from Bordeaux.

Accommodation

The registration fee covers accommodation in shared chalet-style apartments at Les Bruyères, breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, dinners & banquet. Each apartment has two bedrooms (each one with two single beds), small kitchen, bathroom and balcony.

How to get to Bordeaux

Bordeaux hosts an international airport with connections to major cities in Europe. Here is a map of the airport.

It is also directly connected to Paris by the high-speed TGV train. The train station is named Bordeaux Saint-Jean. If you arrive by train, you will have to take the tram Line C from Bordeaux Saint-Jean (direction Les Aubiers) to Quinconces to catch the bus to Carcans. Here is a map of the tram.

How to get to Carcans from Bordeaux

Transportation will be arranged from Bordeaux city center/airport to Carcans on September 4 and from Carcans to Bordeaux on September 17.

On September 4:

The bus will leave Bordeaux city center at Quinconces at 6pm.
The bus will leave Bordeaux airport at 7pm.

Please be sure to be there at least 15 minutes before the departure of the bus. If this is not possible for you to arrive in Bordeaux before that time, please contact us by email so that we can find an arrangement.

On September 17, the bus will leave Carcans at 9am, and is expected to arrive at Bordeaux airport at 10.30am, and at Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station at 11am.
